Plate Tectonics, Agree or Disagree?

plate tectonics is the theory of earth's outer shell is divided into plates that slide over the mantle. The rocky inner layer above the core. Plate Tectonics explains the features and movement of earth in the present and the past.  "Continental plate" and "Oceanic plate" we also gotta talk about Plate boundaries Divergent Boundaries, Convergent Boundaries and Transform Boundaries.

Divergent Boundaries is when a new crust is created as two or more plates pull away from each other.
when a divergent boundary occur on land a rift will arise and over time that land is going to break into different pieces of land and the water will fill the space between them.Convergent Boundaries let me call it Recycling because is when crust is destroyed and it goes back into the interior of earth as one plate dives under another. there are three types of Convergent Boundaries: Oceanic-Continental convergence, Oceanic-Oceanic convergence and Continental-Continental convergence.Transform Boundaries are where two plates are passing each other, there are also known as faults. there is basically how things work, How mountains and volcanoes are created.

Pangaea was a super continent, and it is called as that because long time ago the continents were all together as one, or that's what some of the scientific thought, this existed during the Paleozoic and Mesozoic era.
it began to get separated around 200 million years ago. the evidence of Pangaea exist was fossil evidence because people found similar or just exactly parts or species on continents that now are really far away from each other. some people think that the continents still in movement and that one day we are going to be the super continent again.

The Center of Earth which has four layers. it goes the inside to the out side crust, mantle, outer core and the inner core. The inner core is the hot and solid part of earth made up of iron and this one helps the volcano to activate the volcanoes.

I think all of these theories are right because they got evidence to show us, and the things that are happen now are happening for a reason. we are not sure of this but that's what the evidence and the things that happened and are happening is showing us.

*REFLECTION

1. I really enjoy the most team work, because it was easy for me to learn with help from my friends at the table.

2. The most challenging part of this project was explain some of the topics because it is kind of confusing, but at the end you just got to study it and do it well.

3. I learn about each of the topics, things that I didn't even know that exist.

4.Yes, I know I can do it better, and actually some of my work are incomplete because I was worrying about everything so I didn't finish some projects to start with other.

5. Nothing. Maybe my grade :')

MINI-POSTERS!

Earth's Interior                                                      Earth's  has three types of spheres
Lithosphere, Hydrosphere, Atmosphere

*Lithosphere is the solid part of the earth.

*Hydrosphere is the liquid part of the earth.

*Atmosphere is the gas part of the earth.

Let me give you and explanation, Lithosphere is the part that we are living, solid like rocks, lands or every place that you can build something on, Hydrosphere is the liquid, Sea for example where fish and  all kind of aquatic things live or can stay on like boats and Atmosphere is the gas part of the earth that means Air, you breath air that's our atmosphere.

Litosfera, hidrosfera, atmósfera.
Литосферы, гидросферы, атмосферы.
الغلاف الصخري والغلاف المائي والغلاف الجوي.
* Questions

what are the three types of spheres?   *Lithosphere,Hydrosphere,Atmosphere
what is lithosphere?  *the solid part of the earth
what is atmosphere?  *The gas part of the earth, air.

The Ring of Fire

The ring of fire is an area in the pacific ocean where earthquakes and volcanic eruptions are possibles to happens most of the time.
The location is in the Pacific Ocean.
It is important because it produce high explosion and harmfull natural desastres.

terremotos, erupciones volcánicas.
地震,火山爆发。
الزلازل والثورات البركانية.

*Questions

what happens in the area of the Ring of fire?  *earthquakes and volcanic eruptions.
where is the Ring of fire located?
 *Pacific ocean
Why is important the Ring of Fire?
*Because it produce minerals and fertilizer and also the island of Hawaiian.

Faults

There is three types of Faults

Normal Fault, Reverse/Thrust, Fault & Strike~Slip Fault.
Fault are large fraction in the earth crust. Normal Faults are rocks that move down Reverse Faults are rocks that move up Strike~Slip are rocks on both sides of the fault slides that moves in different direction from each other.

Falla normal, atrás / de empuje, Falla y huelga ~ Falla Slip.
عمومی غلطی، ریورس / زور، غلطی اور ہڑتال ~ پرچی غلطی.
正断層、リバース/スラスト、障害&ストライク〜すべり断層。

*Questions
what are the three types of Faults? *Normal fault, Reverse fault and Strike-slip fault.
whats fault?  *are large fraction in the earth crust
what Strike-Slip is and how it work?  *are rocks on both sides of the fault slides that moves in different direction from each other.

Earthquakes/Tsunamis

An earthquake is what happens when two blocks of the earth suddenly slip past one another.

Epicenter is directly above the focus, Focus is where an earthquake start, Seismic are the earthquake start, Seismograph is the instrument that measures earthquakes waves, Magnitude is the strength of an earthquake, P~wave moves back and forth (fast), S~wave moves up and down with slow motion, L~wave back forth, side to side. most dangerous. Tsunami tide waves.

tremblement de terre, Epicenter, Mise au point, sismique, sismographe, Magnitude.
Землетрясение, эпицентр, Фокус, сейсмической, сейсмограф, Магнитуда.
terremoto, Epicentro, Enfoque, Sísmica, Sismógrafo, Magnitud.

*Questions

whats an Earthquake? *is what happens when two blocks of the earth suddenly slip past another.

whats Tsunami? *tsunami very large ocean wave caused by an underwater earthquake or volcanic eruption.
Which of the waves are the most dangerous and why? *L_wave because it goes back forth, side to side.

Lunar Eclipse

VOCABULARY:

Rotation: (rotación)
Something that move by them own.

Rotation Length: (Duración de la rotación)
How long it takes to do one rotation.

Prime Meridian: (Primer Meridiano)
the time in the earth when you go over that will be other day in that place.

International Date Line: (Linea Internacional de el Tiempo)
The time that start by zero.

Greenwich Meridian: (Meridiano de Greenwich)
Greenwich means time (GMT) the line on the earth middle line was the line start part that was 24 hours around the world.

Longitude: (Longitud)
When something increases or degrease.

STANDARD TIME ZONES:

Basically we are going to talk about time. Standard time zone is going to explain us where the time starts. How the time go on, what direction this is going positive or negative. Actually is something not hard to understand.
We know that Rotation length is time and how many hours we have per day and how many axis the world is divided in 24 hours. 24 spaces Longitude everyone knows that we have different times around the world, each hour the earth turns around 15 degrees that means the earth will move 15 degrees The prime Meridian start by 0 that means 0 time, if that turns to the right that means the time will turn positive but if the time turns to the left that means negative. The international date line is locate at 180 degrees that's why the world turns 360 degrees in one day, The Greenwich means time (GMT) and this is located in Greenwich England. If you cross the the international date line you will be one more day or back in time, it depends in what direction are you flying.

How is earth affected by movement (revolution)?
The four seasons of winter, spring, summer, and fall. our 365 days long are affects of the earth's revolution. The earth revolves around the sun. It takes the earth 365 days to do this. and this also causes day and night.

1. What did you must enjoy about this project and why?
Everything about this project was really nice to do, worked with Jin and make a video was really nice :)
2. What was most challenging for you during this project and why?
Record the voice for  the video.
3. What new skills did you learn from doing this project?
How to make a video and actually I learned a lot about standard time zones.
4. Is there anything that you could have done to improve any of your work? Explain.
Next time we can make a Really nice video but we also need more time.
